Summary: A guide to understanding the Dragon in Revelations, from a Biblical perspective.

Revelations is very hard to understand as it is very figurative and much of it has been interpreted by priest to mean something different to what is intended. Yet in actual fact the Bible, explains almost every term used; so what does the dragon mean:
Quote:

Eze 29:3-9 Speak and say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I, even I, am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt (man), the great dragon who lies in the midst of his rivers, who has said, My river is mine, and I have made it. (4) But I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales, and I will bring you up out of the midst of your rivers, and all the fish of your rivers shall stick to your scales. (5) And I will leave you to the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You shall fall on the open fields; you shall not be removed nor gathered. I have given you for food to the beasts of the field and to the birds of the heavens. (6) And all the people of Egypt (man) shall know that I am Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. (7) When they took you by your hand, you broke and tore off all their shoulder. And when they leaned on you, you shattered and made all their loins stand. (8) So the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and cut off man and beast from you. (9) And the land of Egypt (man) shall be a desert and waste; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, because he has said, The River is mine, and I have made it.

I have added Egypt is man; as explain in another part of the Bible.
So this explains that the dragon is something that portrays it self as God and says it made the river. Now according to the book of John (which is made up), Christ made the universe, this was never said by Christ and he wouldn't dare say so.
Quote:

Joh 1:2-3 He was in the beginning with God. (3) All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

Again this was made up, to put the Jewish people off ever following Christ, yet in doing so, it is part of the waters spewed out by the dragon and has become a main teaching of Christianity.
Quote:

Rev 12:15 And the dragon cast out of his mouth water like a flood after the woman (wisdom), so that he might cause her to be carried away by the river.

This water's also include what Paul said of making Christ into God.
Quote:

Tit 2:13 looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Yeshua Christ,

Again these making the wisdom of Christ, seem as if he was the dragon and gave authority to the beast (Christianity). When in actual fact, the beast (Christianity) does not follow Christ; as Christ pointed to God and the commandments.
Quote:

Rev 13:4 and they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with it?

This then makes sense as the authority of Christ was stolen by Christianity. People worship Christ from what has been written by the Pharisees (John and Paul) portraying Christ as being a dragon. Yet in fact if you read the other gospels, he gave all honor and glory to God and told people to have faith in God alone! Not to teach the commandments of men and worship Christ.
