There are two marks of the beast, there is the one that the angels put on people and the other comes from Babylon, which we live in and is still ruled by the roman empires religion, to make Babylon remain.
The mark on the wrist or forehead is being worked on in the world to produce personal id chips that can be used for payment and as a way to trace people. This is the same as the Romans started doing with the census to count the people and trace there movements.
