On searching in Esword Bible software for the word Rabb (ῥαββ) in Greek (with partial matches on), it came up with some entries I'd not have expected, that the word Barabbas (Βαραββᾶς), and Rabbi (ῥαββί) are spelled partially the same.

This finally made sense to me, of why we had Barabbas as a name Vs Yeshua meaning Salvation in Hebrew. Where we have the person sent from Heaven to be their King (Messiah), and yet their religious leaders rejected him as prophesied (Zechariah 11:8). The people were then given the option of if they wanted their King by Divine Right (Yehoshua) or their Rabbis i.e. Barabbas.

The connotations are fascinating, as this is ascribed many times within the Tanakh, that the Jews had stopped listening to those sent by God, and instead were being misled by their religious leaders taking over.

On doing a more advanced word search in the Greek across the whole of the Greek Polyglot, to see if there were any more similar references within the Tanakh, this created even more reason to question its deeper prophetic meanings.

The word in Greek for a staff/rod is rhabdos (ῥάβδος), and so we get loads of passages that contextually are about the 'rod' being symbolism of what is ruling over the people.

Now fair enough before this sounds like some weird mishmash etymology, I'm not saying that the Greek word for 'staff/rod' is how we got the word 'Rabbi' - it is simply by chance; just the same as it is by chance that 'Barabbas', and 'Rabbi' are spelled partially the same. Since we're inside God's reality, nothing happens by chance.

When we question the ideas that the Messiah is 'to rule the nations with an iron rod' (Psalm 2:8-9, Revelation 19:15), and that there is the miraculous rod that Moses led the people with (Exodus 4:1-17), we can show that there is an ongoing symbolism, of the 'rod' being about who rules over the people.

Where when we observe the course of history, we can see how the religious leaders have slowly overwritten, and overruled what God originally gave the people - Where the returning Messiah restores the Kingdom of God here on earth, by removing these bad shepherds, and re-establishing a true theocracy (Ezekiel 34).

Isaiah 10:15 Shall the axe boast itself against him who chops with it? Shall the saw magnify itself against him who moves it? As if the rod could wave those who lift itself up! As if a staff could raise what is not wood!

The issue within these religious leaders guidance, is that they don't actually know the correct way themselves, as they are just interpreting what has been said by those who've been sent by God, and so they've often led the people into idolatry.

Hosea 4:12 My people seek advice from their wooden idols, and their rod declares to them. For the spirit of harlotry has caused them to go astray, and they have gone lusting away from under their God.

When we take into account that the word 'Rabbi' (ῥαββί), and 'rod' (ῥάβδος) are spelled similarly, if we interchange these words in Hosea 4:12, this sentence then could imply that their Rabbis have declared to them false teachings.

In Zechariah 11:15-17 the 'foolish leaders' over the flock during the Exile among the Nations, will cause the people to remain opposed to God. After in Jeremiah 23 & Ezekiel 34 the returning King David/Yeshua/Zion, removes these leaders who've caused the people to go astray.

Ezekiel 20:35-38 is the return of the Messiah with a 'rod' of correction against the 'Rabbinic' authorities, before Judgement comes on Israel, and then after we shall come into the Messianic Age.

There is a promise in Genesis 49:10, that the Sceptre/Rod shall remain in Judah, until it is restored into the rightful hands of its heir (Ezekiel 21:27) i.e the Messiah; not the rebels who've tried to manipulate what God gave us for their personal gain.

During this time of bad leadership God has used the Rod/Rabbis, as a threshing tool/rod (Isaiah 28:27), to see who respects the Laws of God & the Messiah's Testimony - that was sealed up among the Disciples (Isaiah 8:11-22).

The Rabbis made up Christianity to cover up that they divorced the Lord, by rejecting the Messiah for 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11): where the Gospel of John was most likely created by the Sanhedrin to contradict Jewish Law, whilst fraudulently not sounding like Yeshua in the Synoptic Gospels. We have Midrash stating that Paul/Saul & Simon petros (stumbling stone), then worked with the Sanhedrin to finish the deception.

At the closure of the 'Bed' of 'Adultery' (Isaiah 28:9-19+20-21) like a Parable of the 'Fig before Summer' (Isaiah 28:4), where 'Saul/Sheol created a Covenant with Death' about the 'Chief Corner Stone' (Isaiah 28:15-18), it is possible through education to 'Repair' (Isaiah 58:12) the 'Breach' 'ready to Fall' (Isaiah 30:13) on everyone - where the 'foolish leaders' have seriously messed up society globally, by tampering with what God gave us.

Placing the Rod of authority back into the hands of the Messiah, means it could be possible to correct the theological errors globally, and avoid the prophesied destruction; if not, then according to prophecy globally God will cleanse reality, and after only those who've listened to the Messiah will be resurrected.
