And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. 15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, Explain this parable to us. 16 And Jesus said, Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not yet understand that whatever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the waste-bowl? 18 But the things which come out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies; 20 these are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.

I think when we read the whole sentence in contexts, it makes it clear Yeshua felt in that time period it was OK to eat animals, as the body would process crap the same, and there isn't spiritual defilement.
He did acknowledged that John the Baptist was more righteous than he was being (Matthew 11:18-19), eating meat & drinking, as he knew it was cleaner from the Nazarite-Essene system, that the body can be a Living Temple for God, and we shouldn't bring death into it.

The idea of trying to make the Bible vegetarian is too far, mankind felt it was OK to eat animals in its barbaric past: Moses instituted Laws to bless the animals before killing it, as the people demanded meat like they'd had in Egypt, and then the Levitical Priests later turned that into sacrifice for atonement.
There were the Laws of a Nazarite (Numbers 6) that those separated to God, should not come near any death, yet that was optional, and so we can understand Yeshua's culture he was brought up in.

In Isaiah 7 the way I read it, is when it talks that Immanuel shall learn that milk & honey are not good, I believe that Immanuel is the Flesh of David, and the Spirit of the Creator upon them, and now with modern science we can show that most of us are lactose intolerant, so drinking milk causes balding, osteoporosis, etc.

Though honey has great anti-biotic properties, and we will get traces of it in our fruit & vegetables, it isn't designed for us.
When Yeshua said that the meat is processed the same, I don't agree with that statement now, and can see based on science that the reason we get nasty farts when we eat animals, is because all that animal parts being broken down is rotting inside of us, and by the very nature of eating death, it accelerates our ageing & leads to many illnesses.

We could question spiritually, would someone be banned from Heaven for eating a bit of meat, not really, if they needed it to survive; yet if they were a psychotic animal killer, then that is causing pain & suffering to something that God has placed its living spirit within, so that can prevent us from being worthy of Heaven.

I see the 6th Commandment as not to kill anything (if we can help it), as every living being has God's spirit within, and I feel the 10 Commandments are Jacob's Ladder - as Steps of Ascension to Heaven, so we need to keep them to be worthy of being an infinite being again.
