Though I've wrote this before somewhere on the site, we would like to remind us all again, that this is what the verse should say:

Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with a wife/spouse/partner; for they are virgins/separated/single/married to God.
These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth.
These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

gunē = specifically a wife.
parthenos = by implication an unmarried daughter.

So you understand that Yeshua's testimony confirms this, will repeat:

Luk 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Luk 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

There are not two birds in a nest, there are no animals that spend more time working for each other, then their off spring....
God made man and women to procreate, not to waste each others time; when we are all here to learn none attachment, not over attachment.
The fall of man and our constant desire for each other, was the beginning of suffering; a huge part of this is alcohol consumption (rotten apples = cider) which leads us to lust, which is a form of desire, which is the 10th commandment and therefore a sin.
