Ok on Searches we used no index's it finds the Id, linked with title and most requested items, of said item and then looks for it in the tables, it is then viewing if anything hasn't been included in the primary index.....

After trying a text index to store data for all text....this made it much slower, as rather then indexing just a group of numbers (id's), it indexes every letter it appears...as how can MySql know what a word is so instead searches the lot?

Basically will let you have a look at ours, on 2.2.5rc2 and we have optimized much to be stored with the primary, and no other index's....

My thinking then is the moment it finds the primary it finds all needed data in that table. so reducing looking time and Xoops overload....as all information should be at hand, not hidden amongst like 20 other index's; that are not used....


P.s this isn't Xoops alone, yet all CMS systems we have looked at....we are the first trying to push it forward after realizing how much dirty rubbish index's had been made in all systems with not much point to them, other then maybe an id....Which as such is indexed in a way with out one, as an id is number MySql works sequentially so when it finds a number, it sticks this next in order, sort of like an index as such....
