I have a friend who has never had to work, then her husband died and now she has nothing. She is a Christian, and depends entirely on the church and others to support her. In my opinion, she doesn't try very hard to find work or to stand on her own feet. She bases this on scriptures that God loves charitable works, etc. and she feels that she is doing people a favor by taking their money. Please advise me with scriptures for her, if any and am I wrong in my feelings.
