Buddhism is an attachment to a belief system, rather than what did Buddha define.
Buddha's ultimate goal of spiritual practise is to recognize Nirvana: which is to understand how the Source of reality (Universal Mind) exists in a state of nothingness, and when we become free of attachment to the physical, we can realize we're all part of a hive mind (Oneness).
When we understand the nature of reality is to serve, not to serve self; those seeking a Buddhist existence become altruistic serving others.
