The Bible Verses That Stands Against Alcohol


Since many believe it acceptable to drink in today's Christian cultures, here are quite a few biblical references where it states it as test of the nation.

(Luke 1:15)
for he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb

(Amos 2:12)
"But you gave the Nazarite wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, 'Don't prophesy!'

(Luke 5:39)
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, 'The old is better.' "

(Mat 10:42)
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
